Treatment Day and Recovery

Appointment day is easier than most people expect. We apply a topical numbing cream before we begin, and JUVÉDERM® products contain lidocaine built right into the gel, so comfort is addressed from both sides. Most treatment sessions take between 15 and 45 minutes depending on how many areas we’re addressing.

What does it feel like? Mostly pressure. Some areas are more sensitive than others – lips tend to be the most noticeable – but the discomfort is brief and very manageable. You’ll see results right away, though the final look really settles in over one to two weeks as any mild swelling resolves.

Speaking of swelling – it’s normal, especially in the lips. Some bruising and tenderness can happen too. All temporary. Most clients head back to their normal routine the same day. We just ask that you skip intense exercise for 24 to 48 hours, stay out of excessive heat, and follow the aftercare instructions we’ll send you home with.
